Nitric oxide (NO)는 nitric oxide synthase (NOS)에 의해 L-arginine이 citrulline으로 변환 되는 동안 생성되는 라디칼 화합물입니다. Nitric oxide는 신경 전달, 혈관 조절, 면역 반응 및 세포 사멸에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 대식세포 매개 세포독성에 영향을 미치는 분 자로 작용하며 mitochondrial respiration과 DNA 합성을 억제하는 것으로도 알려져 있습 니다.
EZ-Nitric Oxide Assay Kit는 diazotization (Griess method)분석을 기반으로 하여 시료의 NO 농도를 측정합니다. 본 키트는 조직이나 세포 내 존재하는 질산염(NO-)의 변환 형태 인 아질산염(NO2-)을 측정하여 질산염(NO-)의 농도를 정확하게 측정합니다. Sulfanilamide 와 nitrite의 반응 부산물에 N-(1-naphthyl)ethylenediamine 이 첨가될 때 일어나는 반응으 로 Total NO-를 정량 할 수 있습니다.
